En Esch
Classically-trained German musician En Esch is first recognizable from his impressive industrial music career. His résumé includes stints with KMFDM and Pigface, and alongside Günter Schulz, he formed Slick Idiot. He has also collaborated with a remarkable multitude of other renowned artists, including (but certainly not limited to) Chemlab, Sister Machine Gun, Mona Mur, Tim Sköld (KMFDM, Marilyn Manson, Skold), Trixy Reiss (Crystal Method), and FM Einheit (Einstürzende Neubauten). Well-respected for his compositional and instrumental talents, En Esch has opened tours for the greats, including Ministry and Rammstein.
En Esch released his first solo album, Cheesy, in 1993. In 2015, over two decades later, Distortion Productions was honored to release SPÄNK!, his second solo record. He continues to front Slick Idiot, through which he has released three studio albums and two remix albums. He also continues to collaborate with fellow musicians, most prolifically Mona Mur and FM Einheit. En Esch’s music has led him around the world, and he has lived in Chicago and New Orleans, among other cities. He currently calls Berlin home.
